Question by Tiffie: What Year Is the Book “Anne of Green Gables” Set In?
Hi Everyone!

I really love the story of Anne of Green Gables, but I’ve always wondered what year exactly the story was set it. Judging by the clothing it’s either the late Victorian or early Edwardian…but I would like to have an exact year if possible.

Thank you!

“Anne of Green Gables” was published in 1908. It never states in the book when it actually takes place.
