Was Venetian plaster used in Victorian homes? Not the embedded designs style, just random float marks?
I know that just about everything that could be made fancy and decorated in a Victorian home, was. I am not talking about mold cast plaster, but rather random textures left by not totally smoothing out the plaster.
I don’t recall ever having seen it used, just the ultra smooth plaster or cast plaster.
I’ve been in numerous Victorian homes and have even owned a few myself and never seen Venetian plaster used in any of them.
