Pretty much the same way they do now. Not much different as some of the customs that are followed now came from that era. Some are much older and have been handed down. Christmas trees became popular under Queen Victoria, as her husband, Prince Albert ,was very popular with the English people. He brought the tree custom with him from his native Germany. Beforehand there were celebrations with yule logs and wreaths and ribbon and holly and mistletoe, etc. but not trees. Goose is the traditional English Christmas dinner.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these boots. I have them in the hickory/champagne color and wear them all the time. I constantly receive compliments on them, more compliments than I have ever received on any pair of Uggs I own. There was even a day and man actually stopped me and jokingly asked me to trade shoes with him. He said they looked warm and comfortable, which they are. I really like that you can wear the boots up or down. Sometimes I wear both the back and front down and other times just the front. The versatility is awesome. Another reviewer commented about buttons being loose, but I have not had this issue at all with these. I have had them for about 3 months and the buttons are still tight. I’m going to buy another pair in black :)

The only reason I didn’t give this boot a 5 star rating was because it ran an entire size too big and when I was going to return it, one of the gals said no way, she’d buy them off of me. I hope I can find them in my size. Very Cute, very comfortable.

Very comfortable and warm boots. But I have had a problem with the buttons falling off. Not a big deal to sew them back on as long as you find them!

My daughter wanted these boots and was very excited to get them, however within a month the side button on one of the boots was missing. I checked on Amazon website, but because they had been worn already they were not returnable. Now I have to figure out how to get 2 NEW buttons (so each boot will match) and get them sewn on the boots….an added expense!!
