In Sydenham Hill Woods, south east London, there are a number of abandoned Victorian-era houses that have almost crumbled away to nothing (save for an odd wall or part of a cellar). There is also a gothic folly that used to be in the garden of one of these houses before it too became abandoned, and the garden completely overgrown. Are there any photographs in existence that show what these houses/ streets looked like before they were abandoned and became completely overgrown?
