Question by heavenslilgrl: Is there a tutorial for making victorian furniture in Google Sketchup?
I am making an old victorian era house and I need to know if there is a tutorial for making the furniture. I don’t want to download furniture off the Warehouse because if I upload my house, I could be in trouble for plagiarism.

Have no idea, never seen one,
If I were you, id probably watch a few tutorials on normal furniture and work from their, or if I were in a real hurry, Id download some from the warehouse and do some changes that would change its look but still look impressive.

Victorian and Edwardian Furniture and Interiors: From the Gothic Revival to Art Nouveau

An essential reference for collectors, dealers, scholars, and interior designers.

The furniture designs of William Morris, C. R. Ashbee, and Charles Rennie Mackintosh are even more popular and influential today than in their own lifetimes. Other major nineteenth-century figures, such as William Burges and Christopher Dresser, who were once regarded as eccentric outsiders, are accepted now as great designers, and their work is avidly collected.

Jeremy Cooper’s survey of this rich and rewarding chapter in the history of the decorative arts contains an astonishing range of photographs and drawings: nearly seven hundred illustrations, many of them in color, offer a uniquely comprehensive coverage of nineteenth-century furniture, from the Gothic Revival to Art Nouveau. Every major designer is represented, and the choice of pictures includes a wealth of little-known furniture from private collections. Rare contemporary photographs of Victorian and Edwardian interiors show how the furniture formed part of complete decorative ensembles.

Jeremy Cooper, a well-known dealer and an expert in this field, has written extensive commentaries on the illustrations as well as a text that provides the essential background. 683 illustrations, 74 in color.

My contractor and I have found this book very helpful in renovating my 1918 Edwardian home in San Francisco. Thank you for all the research that you have done to make this a complete reference.
