Depends on if you have to move furniture or not. If the house is empty and you are just pulling the carpet out on 20 x 20 ft, you should not charge that much. Give them quote per hour on the job.

Generally there’s a flat fee.then whatever per hour with a minimum $4hr quote.

It should be between $12 and $15 an hour. If you are just pulling up the carpet, the job is not really a difficult one.

It all depends on the type of carpet you’re ripping up. If it’s carpet that is stretched over pad it should rip up with no problem. If it is an old rubber back or enhancer back carpet that has been glued down, you could be there for a long time scraping that crap off the floor. Your best bet is to probably just charge by the hour for how long it takes you. depending on where you are, the rate could vary greatly.
