Question by Pep Harris: How do I decorate, arrange a Victorian style studio apartment?
I’m thinking of using burgundy/reddish curtains, I have cherry walnut furniture and am going to get a Chinese rug (that’s red and gold).

I also have a mahogany and tan room divider. Is there anything Im missing or could add?

What color rug would look good?

Any tips? The walls are old, and beige. Im not allowed to paint them, but at least they’re not white. There’s a rug already in place but will a another rug on it make me trip?. Is is ok I make the bathroom aqua blue but the rest of the place cherry walnut and red?

Any suggestions?
Pink seems like my color Jamie, you snide little ho?

Why don’t you go shove you head up a dead bear’s anal cavity?

blue (bathroom) not good- brown accent walls work great w/ beige & red. accent victorian details since thats unique (chiseled wood work..), less is more, take your time

If you’re going Victorian, but don’t have much money or space to do it, use accents. Ornate picture frames or vases with dried roses, romantic items such as these. Drape a damask or velvet scarf over the frame.
I wouldn’t go with the Chinese rug, but the colors are good for Victorian. Also the blue bathroom wouldn’t really work for a Victorian theme. Have you thought about a soft yellow or red? Then again, use accents to do a Victorian theme, “kitchscy” items such as statuettes.

Get some inspiration from these wall murals:

Although you might not actually buy a mural to hang on your wall, I think they’re great for ideas.

Here are some rugs that you might consider:

I like the Heriz Rug and the Constantine Rug. The Imperial Area Rug is also quite nice.
A rug over a rug or carpet is fine as long as you use a rug pad so that it will lay properly:

I think having a blue bathroom with a red living space is fine.
