They are beautiful, but I’ve been kind of afraid of them since I spent the night at my Mom’s friend’s house. It was haunted….

They are beautiful on the outside, and fun to visit. Not so much fun to own. If it is old, then you have horsehair plaster walls, not drywall. Repairs are frequent, difficult and costly. The spaces and stairwells can make it difficult to move in furniture, or fit in what you already own.

If it were the last house I am buying, a Victorian would be great. But if I am only there for a few years, I’m sticking with something simpler.

(My favorite house I lived in was brick, with steel beams. We had the best garden….)

I love to look at them but don’t think I’d want to own one. Too much maintenance.

Yeah they are very spacious and all, they have beautiful decorating but I must admit, I’m also a huge fan of contemporary and ultra modern style homes! x
