victorian housesCould a Victorian House be remodeled on the inside to look Modern? victorian houses

Imagine a little Victorian house with all the cute wooden details on the outside.
Then, on the inside, modern furniture and decor.

Could this house look good, or will the “eras” clash?

Nope it could work. Depends on the colour scheme used. But it wouldn’t clash. I’ve seen those home wonders where the outside is a bat cave and when you walk in it’s like Trump Plaza–and it doesn’t clash. You’d be fine with that style. Just make the colours work on the inside. Anyway when you’re looking at the outside you can’t see the inside and when on the inside you can’t see the outside. So they would never clash when put together.

I’m sure you could, but you may have to gut it and take out a lot of what victorian homes are loved for. Without a doubt you could open up the floor plan and put modern design on the inside, but when it comes to reselling your home, some people may be put off by the fact that the inside and outside of your home will clash bad.
Instead of doing it strictly modern you could do a traditional feel with modern elements to incorporate the beauty of the house with your personal style.
