Ceremic Tiles – Beautifying homes since years

Ceramic tiles come in different colours, shapes and sizes. If you have decided to use bathroom floor ceramic tiles, you will be faced with a confusing array of choices. Choose tiles which blend well with the fixtures and feel of the bathroom and your home in general. For instance, an ultra modern bathroom looks out of place in a home with a Victorian decor.

The best part about bathroom floor ceramic tiles is that they suit just about any kind of decor. To give your bathroom a modern look and feel, you can choose simple solid colours like cream or white and combine it with chrome fixtures, white rugs and potted plants. Combine light solid colours like white or cream with coloured tiles at the border to add a dash of colour. You can find tiles with patterns designed specially to form good borders. For instance, a cream floor can be bordered by black tiles with cream print on it or just plain black tiles. Another good idea is that on a white tiled floor randomly intersperse brightly coloured tiles. You can also experiment with coloured grout. Blue, red, green or yellow grout adds colour and an element of fun to the bathroom.

Using a single large printed tile as the centerpiece and surrounding it with plain coloured tiles is another idea while experimenting with bathroom ceramic tiles. You can also do the entire floor in printed tiles. Make sure that the prints blend well with the overall theme of the bathroom. For instance, a Victorian style bathroom can be tiled using pale blue or green or beige coloured tiles with delicate floral and artistic prints. If you are looking for a bold look, go in for tiles with bright colours and bold prints and patterns.

Unglazed tiles like terracotta tiles, quarry tiles and porcelain tiles also look good on bathroom floors. These tiles have a grainy texture and are slip proof. If you wish, you can also use unglazed tiles exclusively for the shower or bath area.

Using bathroom floor Ceramic tiles is a great way to experiment with bathroom decor and get the look and feel you wish for your bathroom.

There are two kinds of bathroom floor ceramic tiles glazed and unglazed. Unglazed tiles are made using clay with a grainy texture.
