anyone have any ideas for a victorian syle home office?
if any one has any pics that would be great, i would like to use the creamy white colors for the computer dest ext…. and i would like ideas for curtains and slip covers for a chair as well, i also like the sage greens and brown colors for accents ans pinks
good color choices! pink and green go well together and cream is always a safe victorian color. i would go to some antiques shops or maybe a yard sale/thrift shop to c if u can find victorian styled items. as far as slip covers and everything: i would do something countriesh. buying a book on design or victorian design would be your best choice though, i always get the best ideas from books relating specifically to my project. hope the room turns out great!
Get old dining room furniture for your office furniture….a buffet or sideboard could hold your office supplies, and an old dining room table could be the desk you always wanted. They could be painted in your soft cream colors with an antiquing finish in either the soft brown glaze lightly applied to the detail, then wiped off, so it just looks like its aged. Using nice upholstery fabrics for chair covers and covering file boxes and organizers on the desk will be nice too. Using old crystal glasses for pen holders, and a bulletin board covered with fabric will help you organize.
Sounds beautiful, and is an inspiration to me! Definitely have a little tea area with a stack of books for relaxing and reading. Furry kitty optional.
